Geralyn and Michael met at dance class, and appropriately their wedding at Beckenridge Vineyard, in Dallas, Oregon, featured not only dancing, but dance lessons for their guests as well.

Jillian and Morey make their own honey.

And therein you have everything you need to know about Jillian and Morey’s relationship: they harvest their own sweetness out of their bee-loud yard and distribute it to their friends. At their wedding, each guest got a bottle of it — each amber bottle personally labeled and weighed.

And how sweet was the wedding, held at McMenamin’s Edgefield? I’ll let you draw your own conclusions.

A sweet wedding, Katie and Bob’s. The site was Postlewait’s near Canby, Oregon. The day was summery and warm. The evening was Oregonian cool. There were flower girls who froze in fear half way down the aisle. There were ecstatic parents and funny friends. And in the midst of it all, stood Katie and Bob, radiant, very happy, very much in love.

Elicia and Jeff got married among ancient oaks outside the Calvary Chapel in Corvallis, then adjourned to Gathering Together Farm for a small, simple, but thoroughly warm and enjoyable reception.

Not many days have more light available than June 19th, and Kate and Aaron, who got married at Whisperin’ Oaks outside of Junction City, availed themselves of every second of it to celebrate their wedding. May their marriage be a continual solstice of love and happiness….

Kate and Aaron and I did their engagement session only a couple days before their June 19th wedding, on an evening of beautiful honey-colored light. Nothing like a grove of oaks and a field of tall grass to complement a couple like this.

Brigette and Brenden | 5.14.10

Brigette and Brenden held their ceremony on the prettiest day (to date) of the year, at one of the prettiest sites in the Columbia Gorge: at the base of Horsetail Falls. Among the day’s highlights:

The commissioned bus that took Brigette and Brenden and all their guests from Hillsboro to the Gorge, provisioned with snacks and wine and beer. At one point, discovering that we needed more supplies, we stopped at a shopping mall, where Brigette, strolling the aisles in her white gown, turned the heads of all the shoppers.
At the waterfalls, with all the spring runoff roaring behind them, you could hardly hear their vows — though you could see the meaning in their eyes.
At Crown Point, Brigette and Brenden, inspired by the art nouveau setting, spontaneously turned the rotunda of Vista House into their private ballroom.

Leah and Brett | 6.4.2010

This was a very rainy spring, and lawns throughout the Northwest, including the lawn at the Garden in the Woods, were soggy. But this did little to dampen the enthusiasm for everyone who gathered there to celebrate the wedding of Leah and Brett. Highlights included an acapella boys choir (buddies of the groom, actually), a flower girl who did her hardest to deposit all her petals in a single heap, a long row of wedding cakes, happy friends, gracious families, and, yes — a miracle! — sunshine. And just before sunset, the sunlight ignited the trees around the pond and filled its glossy surface with green reflections — the perfect setting for Leah and Brett, who stood on the pier and kissed and kissed and kissed.
